In the end, I couldn't bring myself to try cuy (guinea pig), but the alpaca filets at
Incanto in Cusco were a different story. The alpaca did not taste like chicken -- more like pork, with a very mild flavor that was not at all gamey. More photos of Peruvian culinary delights to come in the next few days.
But did you visit the Nazca lines?
ReplyDeleteDidn't have enough time, unfortunately. Just spent a couple days in Lima and Cusco (in a bed in Cusco, to be precise, since altitude sickness struck and I slept for 15 hours straight) before the four-day hike to Machu Picchu.
